Navajo Land
December 11th, 2009
Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA. This land like the title says belongs to the Navajo nation. With the help of a Navajo guide, you can visit the lower and upper canyon (famous for it light beam, which can be seen on IFL). This was taken in the lower canyon in the morning. This shot is made of 3 exposures.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II - EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Developed in Lightroom, tone-mapped in Photomatix, adjustments in Photoshop.

Antelope Canyon really is a great place to go. I encourage anyone (especially photographers!) to try to make it there at some point.
I absolutely love the detail of this shot, but the HDR effect feels a bit overdone to me.

Wonderful shot! It must be hard getting a clean shot of this given its popularity - I saw the photo on your website of this place crawling with photographers :)

Thank you everyone.
Antelope canyon can be crowded yes, here in the lower canyon it wasn't too bad, but the upper canyon was madness, with people yelling at each other.
But yes, it is an amazing world, and I recommend to all of you to drive through the South of Utah up to Page, AZ. It is quite an amazing place to visit!

I was on a sequential background rotation using windows 7's changing the background automatically, but I couldn't wait for this to go up.

You really captured the beauty of these formations. This shot has everything, depth, super sharpness & clarity, composition, great contrast, rich color... It's just phenomenal! And the reflecting blue light from the sky is so awesome. You have a great eye and if you don't get paid for taking pictures something is wrong with this world. Thanks for this awesome piece of art Philippe!
