Exceptional. It's pretty hard here to find a sunrise/sunset that really stands out. This one does. For those who wonder why we never tire of looking at such images, it's because Mother Nature never tires of creating them. I enjoy the slight blur in the surf; it gives the image a painterly feel, blurring the supposed lines between media.

This picture demonstrates conclusively, in my opinion, why even the best point-and-shoot cameras will never replace a good DSLR. There are times where image quality matters. This is most definitely one of them.

This is not an HDR.
Before the 5D2 i had a 40D and before that a 400D.

MasterChief, beautiful work. You've been very happy about powerful, it is exactly what I see. It is a mystical picture, even the colors traditionally darker skies are softer on this. Of course, the use of the filter - polarizer? - is essential in this case, but do not think it would be bad idea to record reflections on this (I could be wrong). Ultimately, the goal was achieved: to intensify the light of heaven, pointing out the clouds. Thank you for showing us.

Whats the EXIF data for this shot? I'm very intrigued, because you freakin nailed it man.

The exif is in the shot.

Well the PP was a little bit of saturation and a clarify, and of course straighten the horizon line.

Outstanding image, truly. My only critique is the chromatic aberration in the rocks. Phenomenal work here.
