Otuataua Stonefields
By Chris Gin
December 17th, 2009
The Otuataua Stonefields are a reminder of Auckland's volcanic past, full of stones flung out in successive volcanic eruptions. I was lucky enough to experience a beautiful sunrise there and captured this shot just before leaving. (And yes, these were the actual colours).
Canon EOS 40D, Sigma 10-20, Hitech GND filters, Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Wonderful shot - the colors are great - I love their reflections in the water. Great time of day / lighting as well!

Chris Gin, you are indeed a legend, thank you for all of your wonderful work including this, a new wonder for us all.
Chris Gin, the space occupied by the portion of water gives a sense of stoutness, strength. I see only a small intrusion into the left corner of the photo in the space of trees, like a blur. But nothing that subtracts the quality of your work, praising the wise words of PoopChef. Thank you for yet another, Mr Gin.

Literally just yesterday, I get on here and I'm sayin' to myself "Where's the latest Chris Gin?" and I go back like 4 pages until I find something from the first week of the November. Glad to see you're still alive, mate.
The Lookout - November 7, 2008: still my favorite of your IL portfolio.

Great work Chris. Glad to see something from you on here after such a long drought.
I think my favorites are Blue Lake and Planet Moeraki. Fantastic.
