I like the colours here, but something about it seems a little bland.
I still think it's a great shot though.

Hey, very nice shot -- has a painted artistic feeling about it.

Really nice colors and brightness.
The vignetting and somewhat blurry sides make it really stand out on the desktop.
Thanks for sharing!

HAHA If you think that's bland you should see the original! its was a plain overcast day with no cloud detail at all .... so i had to jazz it up a bit :o)

@BJBProductions- i used a Nikon D60

I have to say that this is probably my favorite wallpaper. The colors are absolutely fantastic, and the lighting is perfect. Thanks and please keep submitting more!

Everyone seems to like this, and I'll use it for awhile as a desktop since the subject is cool, but I'm not sure I like it. The author states he used HDR, which is fairly obvious, and I think it's the HDR that causes my problem with the photo. The detail and saturation of the grass is visually biting. Some may like this, but I find it hard to look at for extended periods.

If you don't like it, then why would you use it as a desktop? :P

I think it is shameful that this wonderful structure is in such disrepair. The walls and roof are entirely missing as well as many of the supporting posts and lintels. I don't know whether this is the fault of the Labor or Conservative party. What the Her Majesty must think of this situation is beyond me.

Enough bloviating. Great take on a fabulous historic edifice.

I know its dirty, but the stubulman full commentary was fantastic. Being joke or not, I laugh a lot.

Hey, onis_uk, thanks.

@onis_uk, Yes, I am indeed joking. I'm sure Stonehenge is quite tidy. After all, it's lasted lo these many years. However, still no indoor plumbing or electricity :)

strange race of people... the Druids

No one knows who they were or what they were doing
But their legacy remains
Hewn into the living rock... Of Stonehenge

Stonehenge! Where the demons dwell
Where the banshees live and they do live well
Stonehenge! Where a man's a man
And the children dance to the Pipes of Pan

Hey!

Stonehenge! 'Tis a magic place
Where the moon doth rise with a dragon's face
Stonehenge! Where the virgins lie
And the prayers of devils fill the midnight sky

And you my love, won't you take my hand?
We'll go back in time to that mystic land
Where the dew drops cry and the cats meow
I will take you there, I will show you how

Oh!

And oh how they danced
The little children of Stonehenge
Beneath the haunted moon
For fear that daybreak might come too soon

And where are they now?
The little children of Stonehenge
And what would they say to us?
If we were here... tonight
Sorry, I just had to make the Spinal Tap Reference. Excellent photo nonetheless.

Fantastic shot and excellent photoshop work. When I was at Stonehenge there was an ugly fence all around.

Love it, proud to be British when I see shots like that. :)

Maybe it's my monitor but there seems to be quite a bit of noise in the sky, especially around the columns. Got rid of some of it for my desktop, if anyone else is interested: http://omploader.org/vM2R6MA/stonehenge_2560x1600.png (4.64 MB).

More pls onis_uk. :)
