Wow, incredible shot, even with the people in it. Definitely worth another try to get it without the other tourists. Absolutely stunning at the higher triple-monitor resolutions available! Great work!!

Brilliant shot. Glorious, in fact.
Tourists in the shot . . . not so brilliant.
Please, please, please do one without tourists.

I've been here a few times. And really nice shot. :)
Sure, better without the tourists, but hey - I'm appreciating it anyway.

Very nice! What is intriguing is the people that kind of pop up as you look at the picture. However, if you could get a shot without the people, it would be even more superb :)

I think the protests over there being people in the shot are a bit overblown. How would you suggest discouraging tourists at so important a public location? Bribing the guards to shut the gates? Rather, it might be possible to edit them out with Photoshop. In any event, considering the combination of techniques involved here, panorama and HDR, this is an excellent example of both. Unlike many HDR images this one is not so flat as to seem artificial. Though one might also use Photoshop to straiten the slightly leaning pillars at the edges. This is a superb image that could be made slightly better with a little work.

Gee - I'm surprised no one complained about the lights installed over the walkways and the electrical "boxes" at the tops of the pillars ! Maybe you should take your camera and travel back in time to take another shot. 'Course then some would complain about the people in togas or, better yet, naked being in the shot. Nice shot - I like it as is.

A very well executed photograph. However, the tourists aren't as much a problem as the tilted columns...

Oh I don't mind the tourists actually -- their expressions kind of add a nice sense of emotion / movement to the image as a whole.
Wonderful colors as well -- very good HDR detailing too.

Its really a great shot and I love it in many ways. But using it as wallpaper I want things pure, and with people it isn't.
But I guess you knew that some of us wasn´t going to be happy about it. ;P

The boxes and lights are tolerable. Giddy tourists snapping shots, however, are not.
It's a great way to turn a beautiful wallpaper into Facebook photo-fare.

finally a good photo, I never understand why they pass up so many fantastic submissions similar to this one for some of the silly shots they post. Great stuff. don't care about the tourists, still looks good with them in it.

Is there anybody who can do magic in Photoshop who could remake this wallpaper without the tourists?
Such a beautiful wallpaper, such ugly tourists...

Oh, for a world without people in it . . . perfect pictures every time. For a world without people in it wishing for no people . . . Nirvana.

If there were no people in the world, who would take the pictures? For that matter, who would view them?

I'm in agreementÂ… the picture is fantasticÂ… but I will not download it because I do not wish to look at tourists on my computer screen.

Nice shot, but I really, really hate people in pictures ( not these ones especially :D ). I want my computer to be nature/building only, without people though.

This is a very busy tourist area and it being people free would be hard, unless you had permission to stay behind when it closes. this coupled with the fact that you're not allowed to use a tripod made this hard to take... (hand held made up of 4 pictures)
and also this weird off-centre crop was not what i submitted...? i cropped out the middle for single monitor use ........?!

Ha, I liked the photo, even with the tourists - the color processing you did made them look like some of the other sculptures! Nice one!

I think this shot has become my favourite wallpaper of all time. Excellent onis_uk. Initially I felt the same way about the tourists in the photo and edited them out. Here is a section...
