By Sean Hanlon

I went to the Sebastopol Lagoon, the smell was terrible. I wasn't able to stay for long. i almost threw up :P But the lighting was great and the water was so still.

Looks pretty good, but as Euphytose said, the grass really takes away the beauty of the image. And also I believe that the image is a tad too sharp, It looks good on the preview, but when it comes to being on your screen, it's not very good. :\ Try again.

Hey, this is a really special image, but the colour of the grass contrasts too much and spoils the photo. However change the colour of that grass to purple/blue to make it fit in with the lighting in the rest of the picture, and you're onto a winner. :)

Unlike the previous posters, I have to say that I actually like the grass. Contrasts in a photo aren't necessarily a (good or) bad thing. In this case, I like the contrast.
Great photo, my new desktop wallpaper.

I have to agree with Danny regarding the grass in the foreground, I actually prefer it there. It lends a bit more depth to the image that would otherwise have only been assumed. Rich colors, very well done!

Fantastic shot. I would have to agree with Danny and Neocane, the grass in foreground places "me" in this shot. Very nice colors and contrast.

dont like this very much because its simple not a good shot. the trees are cut off and the foreground with the grass as well. otherwise it might have been better.

Just to let the viewers know, the Laguna smells a lot because sewage leaked into it, not because of excessive algae.

Sorry to double post, but I think this shot would be more awesome-looking if you laid off on the saturation enhancements and such. I know it's artsy, but it kills my eyes.

I don't mind the grass, so much as the image quality. I can't tell if its due to over sharpening, or just artefacts but the result is quite displeasing.

I saw another picture on the artist's website taken in the same place, and that one looks better in my opinion. Maybe he's just teasing us with the pictures on IFL and puts the better ones on the site so we can buy them. I can't blame him though.

At first, mentioning the smell dampened the fantasy for me. I'll try to repress it when I look at this shot. I love the color and composition. Good work and brave photography!

this is picture is something amazing. In my opinion, the grass in the foreground completes the spectrum of colors...which you seem to have captured in one photo. Nice!
