Taken last Autumn in Kemptthal (a place that I absolutely love), near to Zurich, Switzerland. I used a tripod, and a ND8 filter to get a longer exposure time (f/10, 3.2s). For me personally it portrays harmony, serenity and balance.

Sony Alpha A100, ND8 Filter, Apple Aperture

great photo, great place, awesome light and colours!
Did you shoot this with ISO 100?
Any tweaking on maintaining the dynamic range? I figure the bright parts in the top part of the image were difficult to balance with the shadows in the middle part? But this is a single exposure right? Did you shoot in RAW?
cheers, Leon

Lovely composition. Great lighting with the differences in levels making the picture that much more attractive. Have to let my boorish side out though... could you title the piece something other than "Golden Stream"? :)

amazing. this is one of my favorites on the sight for sure. I was also wondering if this was a single exposure.

Yes, I used ISO 100, I shot in RAW and it is a single exposure. I did not do anything to maintain the dynamic range, since the lighting was perfect on that day. A cloud was partially covering the sun, so that the direct sunrays could only reach the vegetation behind the cascade. I remember that I made numerous shots, trying different exposure times (I wanted the water to have that plastic look, but avoid too much image noise), until the cloud went in front of the sun and gave me this "perfect" situation.

I know... I am not very good at inventing titles for my photographs. :) However, I would have preferred to leave it untitled, since this image is supposed to be self-explanatory.

Excellent photo, it almost feels melancholy to me. I love the branch in the middle of the falls.

I must agree with DJBoca though, terrible name, I wonder if you could have typed "Untitled" in the title box.

I wish this had been released much sooner so I could have used it last autumn. I decided to use this as my background but on one condition, it just had to look like spring. Only took me a moment with photoshop but I edited it to my liking :) Great image!

Heres my edit I hope I didn't destroy the image haha:
