We do get a lot of seascapes and sunsets/rises voted through on IFL, but still this one stands out to me. I don't know exactly why, but it does, and it's excellent. It's just calming. Well done.

a great composition - I love the foreground. A bit soft though. Maybe f16 is already too small. I like going with f8 or f11. At least for my Tamron 17-50 it's in my opinion the peak of its image quality.
However, makes a great wallpaper - especially on my 1440*900 screen ;)

Looks as nice as the last 500 purplish/pinkish ocean rock wallpapers.

This is one amazing wallpaper and I will be bold to admit that I did vote for this yesterday. It's nice to see this make it here so quickly meaning that there are a lot of people that loved this image. I never get tired of these type of images. We don't have any rocky shores around here so I enjoy every time I see one but I guess if you see this on a daily basis maybe it gets boring to a person? I don't know. All we have here is sandy shores. I can't wait to get home and run this image through my Adobe CS4 for some obvious color shifts and other minor curve adjustments. A lot of wallpapers here are not balanced via curve adjustment layers being it the white level or the black level but mostly overlooked is the neutral gray level which usually fixes any color cast. I know a lot of folks may not know how to perform that here but it's rather a simple process. I run all my images through the curve adjustments before they are published or before they make it to my clients.

Everyone have their own specific taste when it comes to the images or wallpapers. I am pretty open to all the well executed images with high quality and interesting subject to me and that's the fundamental difference based on the individual's taste!

If you don't like an image you don't have to download it! It's really that simple! I don't understand what is all the whining about. There is the "Loupe" feature and you can download all the images that your heart desires there. What is posted on the main wallpaper section is chosen by the majority and not minority. I am not crying a river that a lot of great wallpapers go unpublished in the loupe and just for the individual downloads. I just downloaded about 10 wallpapers that did not make it and they are all fantastic after a some easy adjustment in my Photoshop that I mentioned above. Cheers everyone.

To Igor Borisenko Photography

You wrote "I just downloaded about 10 wallpapers that did not make it"

How did you download wallpapers that did not make it, the ones on the Loupe that did not get voted to put up on the front page?
about 13 years, 11 months ago
@ beserke121 ... Every single image that you vote on is available at a later date when they don't make a cut they are available here for download but you do have to resize them to fit your display. In other words every image that you like you can download at some point so that's why I can't comprehend constant rants about the content on this wonderful website. I really love this wonderful community and I totally appreciate it.

waitn2drive: I thought the very same thing when I first saw the thumbnail image (and I still do). I think it's due to the composition combined with the position of the big rock being just to the left of center. But when I first saw this, the first thing I did was check to see if this user has any other submissions because I thought that I had seen this location before. But I guess not.

@ bah: I never get tired or bored of the same pics/topics all of the time because to me, there is no such thing as having the same pics/topics all of the time. Each one is unique in its own way even though some may seem very similar (or even identical) to the casual observer. Do you feel that most human beings look the same? Or, does everyone look very different from one another? For me, it's the same concept when I view these images: even among all of the ones that are similar, I still see them as being very different and unique. Therefore, I appreciate them all and I have a different reason to appreciate each one as opposed to saying, "I like this one because it's a sunset picture". Instead, I appreciate the soul of the image. I appreciate what the creator has done with the creation.

To me, each submission is a piece of art and is therefore just as unique from one another in the same way that every single human being looks unique from one another even if I see 500 humans who all look very similar. I mean, if I encountered a crowd of 500 people who all looked similar, then I would still see how everyone looks very different from one another (and even moreso if I were to get to know each person). I would still see everyone's individuality; I'd see everything that makes them unique, and this is all easily possible for me by just looking at them.

I don't think two people can take a picture of the exact same spot and create two identical results. Even though the subject matter is the same (and even though the composition might even be identical, or perhaps rather the camera's position/angle and zoom), there will still be other differences that make them both unique simply because no two people are identical - not even identical twins. Yes, identical twins look identical from the outside, but once you get to know them, their differences quickly become very obvious and then you end up appreciating them for who they are and not merely for what they look like.

well you might be a person that have the same job and woman all life long. other people get bored easily and i just think with all the other amazing pictures in the loupe, it is an insult for those other great ones that never make it. its about time go get up a better wallpaper website and as soon i have some time between projects i will do that. it would already make sense to have different main sections like nature / digital art and so on.

i just think there too many other good ones that deserve it more and which are more unique.

take care

@bah, there already are heaps of other high-quality wallpaper sites out there with a huge variety to choose from. Not sure how creating another site will help - people will just not visit it and keep complaining here...

Everyone pretty much said what I'm thinking. It's a nice photo, but looks the same as everything else that seems to be getting through The Loupe. There are so many other photos I'd like to have as a wallpaper, but for some reason, images such as this EXACT one keep getting through.

So then don't download them. Instead, download the ones you voted for from here:

http://interfacelift.com/account/loupe_downloads/

"Two weeks after the original submission date, images you've voted for are available for download from this page for up to 7 days."

If this isn't good enough for you, then maybe you're too good for IFL. ;)

I am just shocked reading some comments here. All I can say there is a lot of sad individuals out there in this world. Maybe I am one of a few but "boring" or "bored" does not exist in my dictionary! I wasn't even bored when I was in school or college. I find learning to be exciting... I just appreciate everything and yes I am very happy with my wife and she is very happy with me and will be happy till the death takes us apart. Yes! There are a few people like me out there. Sounds like Tim H. can appreciate this world.

I just feel bad for all the bored, constantly not happy complainers... thank God I am not around anyone like that and I would not want to be around such individuals. I hope you guys lighten up and examine your character and learn from mistakes and then you can live a better life.

If you don't like certain images so much you may as well quit your complaining and silently download all the gems in the above posted "Loupe Downloads" no one want to here all your negativity over and over again. I feel really bad for the developers and all the people behind the scenes of this fantastic website. Guys please don't pay attention at these sad folks. It appears like they are not happy with anything in their life and probably never will be.

Cheers to all the unhappy souls :)

Okay I LOVE it especially the purple it's gorgeous! I am even currently using it on my desktop. Though I hate the whole "epic & fail" slang it's so annoying. Their are so many other better alternatives like "Dope" for example...
