Sonoma Coast

April 24th, 2010

Very windy this day, I wasn't sure how the the image would turn out on account of the wind, but it seemed to come out well.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EF 24-105mm f/4.0, Adobe LightRoom 2, Nik Software, Neutral Density filter.

Another great vista even though the colors are a bit too strong which is typical for Sean to tweak his colors a little over the edge. With few minor adjustment layers this will be in my wallpaper folder. I predict a rash of negative comments with "another boring sunset with rocks" blah blah type. I know it's not going to take long. Personally I think this is a great image besides a little too strong on saturation end. Keep them coming!

Yay, my new wallpaper!

I love the orange color from the sunset. Doesn't seem that strong.

In this case the strong color works for me. And, as Igor says, anyone who prefers a softer image can spend a few minutes in Photoshop to adjust it to their liking.

Folks I don't have any problem with the colors on horizon... the slight issue I have is with foreground colors to be exact purplish tones on the waves they are somewhat unnatural and my CS4 just did the trick with with a little slight adjustment layer. Now everything is awesome. Thanks for uploading this great wallpaper.

The foam and the rubbles are a bit spoiling the picture, but still a nice one.

Not boring but not a great shot.

Igor complaining...lol. :)

I love the trip the eyes take from cool to warm colors. Some seascapes are still or dead--this one is alive.

I figured out why every comment is so kiss-a$$...because any comment that isn't gets removed. For example: my last 3 posts.

Until IFL mods can man up and take a little criticism on the site, I think I'll bring my traffic to wallpaper websites that encourage free speech.

Although this comment will be probably be deleted within minutes, I'm sure the IFL sheep won't mind.

If you've been monitoring this sight long enough you'd realize that honest, thoughtful criticism is certainly entertained. Most of the artists take it with good grace.

If the tone of your above post is at all revelatory, I can understand why your previous posts were quashed.

At the risk of being peremptory, don't even think about trolling--it's simply not brooked here.

ha, I know what you're talking about; we should be encouraging even scathing comments because they're basically all constructive criticism
