I took this picture on the Atlantic west coast near Saint Jean de Luz, which is basically next to Biarritz, the famous surfer spot.
Nikon D700, AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED at ƒ/2.8, Adobe Photoshop CS4.
43°23' N, 1°40' W

Probably one of the best WPs I've ever seen. Just magnificent.

You can almost feel the power of wind and water just by looking at it.

Great, just great. We finally have a beautiful day here in Illinois, and you have to counter that with this? :)
Fantastic job, as usual.

Thanks for all your kind comments! I actually uploaded some more St. Jean de Luz wallpapers into my wallpaper section (http://www.dominickamp.de/wallpaper/). If you want some more of them here on IFL just let me know!
@bmndibbd:
Yes and no, the blurriness in the foreground originated from the relatively low aperture of f/2.8 - the lower the aperture, the more shallow the sharp focus area. Wide angle lenses like the Nikkor 14-24mm don't really have a very shallow field of view but still, at f/2.8, objects within 2 meters can become a bit blurry.

i think its totally amazing how good the quality of this landscape got at a huge aperture of 2.8 !!
usually landscapes get really blurry and undetailed but this ones just amazing
great quality, great land scape 11/10 (+1 for the good job of the lens ;) )
