Nice one. Love the contrast between the fluffy furry beings and the green background. My new desktop.

What the hell happened to the ugly crab before this pic?

It's a shame the left wolf gets cut off in the 1600x1200 version, really screws up the composition.

Very nice shot of three beautiful animals :)

I believe the crab was removed at Macindows request since he had not intended that it be posted. Personally Im glad, that thing creeped me out lol.

This might be a bit of a naive question, but how did you use CS5 if it hasn't technically been released yet? Free trial? Bootleg?

In any case, great shot! I've been wishing for more wildlife photos!

@Broken Helix- Actually it has been released. i not sure about shipped versions of Photoshop, more specifically, CS5 extended, but i got a volume License after downloading via adobes website. If you would like a free trial, or a digital download of it, you can find it at adobe.com

These creatures are lovely. Fab photo. Thanks. To think that Sarah Palin wants them all shot. She supports aerial shooting of these wolves and pays rewards of $125 for each one killed. Yet Discovery Channel are about to pay her $6,000,000 to front a programme about Alaskan wildlife. Sorry to mention it here but it's just plain ludicrous and disgusting.

I can't seem to find any of these shots that doesn't cut off the left wolf when I go to download the picture. Is it just me or is there a problem?

I love the shot by the way, it's gorgeous, and I really want to download it.

sorry, should have mentioned which resolutions were the problem, 1280 by 1024, 1600 by 1200, and I tried 1400 by 1050 as well.

Very nice shot.

But why has the wolf in the middle a green stain below it left ear? ;)

The wolf in the middle actually does have a green stain below it's left ear. Was it a mistake in photo shop or is the original that way?

Honestly, i didn't keep an original, so it may have just been like that, (i didn't notice it till just right now) but it may have been an accidental erase then i duplicated the wolves from the background, in order to darken the background and brighten the wolves.

I love this picture very much, and I want to ask you if I can use this picture on my youtube account. You must know that on tube the background picture has 256 K maximum and i was wondering if I could Save the original picture into black and white and then post it with your name as the "artist" of course mentioned on the page.Cheers

As Ferris pointed out that is the background (grass) below that wolf's ear. You expect from the angle for it to be the neck area but that's because of the tuft of fur sticking up on the back/neck of that wolf because of the matting they have on them at the time of this photo. Andy I don't think it's an accidental erase. It's just an angle that makes you think it's something it's not.

Oh, btw as a real lover of wolves I find this an excellent image for my desktop. I had a wolf hybrid for 12 years from the time I rescued him as a puppy until his death from natural causes in 1998 and the profile of the wolf on the right looks just like a profile picture I have of him. He would scare the daylights out of some people but he was actually very gentle. The only person he ever hurt was my brother (an adult) when he tried to run with him on a leash and couldn't keep up so he was dragged for a little bit on the sidewalk. ;>

I agree with Woofa on the point of the green patch, it is definitely a little bit of the background grass visible between a wind-blown tuft of the fur on the beautiful animals back and his neck. It is a little distracting once noticed but as an animal lover, and a dog-lover in particular this image caught my attention and it is now my desktop, and probably will be for a long time. I wish we had these wonderful animals in the UK. Thank you.
