Oh no! No sunset, no creative angle, no HDR!!! A new discussion about the loupe is coming...

Nice pic, better place

It might be not up to everyone's taste, but at least it's got quality to it!

I agree with Mandibul. Nothing special about this pic (aside for the place). It seems like it has been taken from a tourist guide or a travel company flyer.

it's nice to see just a normal unedited picture once in a while that doesn't include a sunset or blurry long-exposed water. i like it. what's "special" about it is that it's not trying to be as "special" as everything else that's posted.

Wow. From a certain person's photos I was under the impression that every ocean scene had purple/pink sky and water.

This would be a nice picture if it wasn't for the fenders hanging out on the sailing boat. ;)

Other than the odd clouds, the picture is great.

Really is a lot of immaturity on here these days, with every other submission someone mentions the Loupe, even if off handed remarks as per the first comment in this thread, and starts us down that road...

And then there's trolls like bmndibb3 who seem to go out their way to spoil good sites.

People were just as nasty (if not nastier) before the Loupe. Heck, that's why the thing was implemented in the first place -- to deter the non-stop whining.

"What the hell is IFL thinking with this one?"

"This photo stinks. Are the mods on drugs?"

"This place is fascist! Why can't we see the submissions coming in?"

Can't win.

For God's sake people, why is it that because a person comments that they don't like a wallpaper that they're "whining?" This is the "COMMENT" section and not the butt kissing section. The comments for this particular image are quite tame. There isn't a single personal comment about the photographer, his parents, his sister, his intelligence or his appearance. People have simply stated what they feel. I happen to agree with several of them: While this is a nice photo, I don't think it's up to the standards of IFL. It DOES look like an image from a geography textbook. A very competent image, however, there is no artistic "zing."

Jeffrey Picard:

Our complaints are directed at certain individuals who have not made a single positive or constructive comment since the day they joined; they are absolutely obsessed with trolling IFL as best as they can.

I suppose so Tim. I just have this delusion that comments should be the same as if you were standing face to face with the artist. Don't say anything you wouldn't be prepared to say directly. To do otherwise is cowardly.
