WOW! I am just speechless with this wallpaper. I am such a sucker for these type of images. I love images from a high altitude especially in the dusk or sunrise/sunset. I will never forget the airplane winter flight from Pittsburgh to Seattle looking over Chicago at dusk and seeing Aurora Borealis at the same time for the whole flight looking to the north of us. This made it instantly to my desktop thanks for sharing. Cheers.

Not the best quality of pictures, but who cares ITS ON TOP OF MT. FUJI. You are a lucky person.

beautiful view, but I believe nature took charge of this picture...the fog just doesn't work out in this...the clouds are beautiful...and the sunset is pretty powerful from this point...maybe it's just the quality of the lens...nonetheless, gorgeous pic.

I wish I was there ... In the backyard of the house on the third street from the left , next to the fire hall, sucking on a beer , looking up at beautiful Mt. Fuji.

I have height issues ...

Avery nice sun-up ...

Nice photo!
PS dont know where else to ask, sorry; why do the Loupe Download archives only show up in the Widescreen 16:10 size?

^^ Because you must submit a 16:10. So you get what you saw when you voted for it. Otherwise some of the aspects might have things cropped among other things.

But it would be nice if they did the same thing for Loupe Downloads as they do for front pagers.

Bah! Another "sunrise picture" and this one is upside down. SinaiB: clouds must be above.

I'm certain it was a beautiful sight but I don't think this image does the original justice, bit washed out for my taste.

the cast and the subsequent lack of detail and the low contrast kill it for me. i wouldn't put this on my desktop.

but i am stunned at how many people like it. i would expect a fairly uniformed dislike, i honestly would describe this as a universally unappealing photo.

this diametrically different perception of the same thing is amazing in itself. long live plurality of opinions and tastes.

^^ We like the photo because we've seen many picture OF mt. fuji, but not many pictures from THE TOP of mt. fuji..sure its not the best of photos and i didnt set it as my wallpaper or even save it to my external hard drive, but it's still a unique view. Not because there aren't on top of mountain photos, but because its that particular mountain.

I agree with quicksand. It may be an amazing shot, but I could take a picture of five needles balanced on top of each other, and that wouldn't necessarily be wallpaper quality just because it's amazing. This is a wallpaper site, not a photography site.
