Yellowstone Sunset

August 14th, 2010

While sitting in a line for two hours waiting on buffalo to cross the street in front of us, the Sun set behind the car over a beautiful river, creating a gorgeous scene that I tried to capture as well as I could. Hope you enjoy!

Taken in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. August of 2010.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon 20-35mm 2.8L.

This one is beautiful. Colors are perfect, and it's just crisp enough.

Nice shot looks very realistic and not overly retouched which I prefer.

Beautiful. It has so many of the features that I love - a beautiful sky, reflecting on the calm water, and trees. It was well worth the long wait, just to get a brilliant picture like this.

thank you all very much! @fishniw, It was RIGHT before you get to Hayden valley.. apparently there were a ton of buffalo just sitting in the road and we sat there for two full hours.. and I had to get out and take a picture of this sunset

The colors are perfect. None of the usual over-saturation. I think subtlety like this is more appealing anyway, most to the time.

@sabern, you don't think you are being disrespectful against other peoples work by uploading your "edits" and linking them next to their original work? Seeing more and more of your so called "edits".

Your edit looks worse to me. Great original.

That "edit" takes away the magic of the original

Great picture, but that long line of cars doesn't really fit in there..
