The Chosen One

September 12th, 2010

A digital composition created in Photoshop CS5. The photo of the sky was taken in Venice in April 2010. The photos of the tree and green hills were taken in Switzerland in August 2010. Enjoy!

Nikon D700, AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Bamboo Fun L.

You can actually find another version of this image in my wallpaper section of my homepage:
http://www.dominickamp.de/

The other version is a lot simpler than this one and shows the hill and tree as a silhouette. I wasn't sure which one to upload, so now you've got the choice.

Oh wow. I love all your pictures from Switzerland, and can't wait to study there come January. I think I prefer this one over the more flat version. I like the depth.

I'm no expert, but maybe some added illumination on the tree could look good.

I love the coloring, and most definitely the luminous clouds which give much focus to the tree (which is the point of course).

Great photo is all I can really say.

I do not think that this image could be improved much. Everything looks pretty good. Thanks again :)

great pic! I love the highlighting/composition of the clouds!

@Dominic: is there a way of getting one of your pics called "Maldevian Starry Sky" in higher resolution such as 1080p?

The tree details could be improved a little bit, and you could illuminate the edges of the tree too to make it stand out as the chosen one.

@NeoEINino:
Sure, why not? It's quite old though and not really processed for large resolutions.

Moreover, since I replaced the sky in that image, it could probably take a bit until I finish it. Well, I've got some time now anyways...

I love the contrast between the light and darkness in this picture, its spectacular and I think it is edited just right, not overdone, excellent job.

As previously mentioned, I think the tree could use just a bit of work, but other than that, its great!

Ahh... there it is!!! I have been away for some time and it's been a while since I logged into IFL. This is nothing short of magic Dominic. This is what I call a flawless masterpiece buddy. I prefer this one as I mentioned to you before simply because of the increased depth.

I guess a little more light on the tree would have been even better but I am in love with this as it is. Thanks for sharing this beauty buddy. Cheers.
