Norwegian Sunrise
September 13th, 2010
I ran into this amazing scene early one morning in December, 2009 near Nissedal, Norway. It lasted only a couple minutes and soon the light was much less impressive...
Canon EOS 20D, 18-55 3,5-5,6 Kit Lens, Manfrotto Tripod, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.

Nice coloring on this one for sure. I like it a lot. But I start freezing when I look at it. :) Would have been nice to have had this summer.
Too bad about the dark smudge mark in the sky. Something on the lens?

Very nice view! We're lucky to live here in this beautiful country!
As of the photo, it is nothing "negative" to say; lovely composition, exposure, lighting. Of course the 18-55 sets a few limits, but I think you've done the most one can do out of the equipment used. Very well done indeed!
I am not sure about the branches on the left hand side there, but I think it would be a bit sterile without 'em too. Not sure..
Anyways, well done mate!

Hey, thanks everyone for the comments! I'm actually really happy every time a picture taken with the kit lens turns out to be good. And by "good" I mean composition, atmosphere, exposure, light, etc. not technical details about the lens. I think, these days everyone is crazy about "professional equipment" (and it's VERY nice to own, without a doubt), but I think one should never forget that it's not necessarily about the amount of money you spent on the equipment....
Sorry, about the dust spot in the sky. I don't know how I could miss that one. Of course, it wouldn't be a big deal to "repair" it, but I guess there's no way to upload an updated version of the same image, is there? If you just can't stand it and don't want to fix it yourself, write me a message. I'll send you a version without the spot.

This is a near perfect picture. The sky, and the water are crystal clear, and very clean.
Though, I think the mountains are a little on the blurry side. Otherwise great work!

Nothing needs to be improved IMO. I am not a pro though. Just a wallpaper collector. Works well in that aspect.
