Kind of Indian Summer
November 23rd, 2010
I shot this one in Cannes, France, in October. The clouds and light were amazing. I used a 10mm lens, with ND filter (B+W 110) to obtain an exposure of 20 seconds. Hope you enjoy! Mike
Canon EOS 7D, 10-20mm lens, ND filter B+W110, Adobe Lightroom.

This is beautiful! I love the gradient from dark to light as you look across the picture. The lighting, the clouds. Just wonderful.
Kinda wish the buildings, street lights weren't on the right, but not a fan of cloning stuff out either.

the stationary parts of the picture look magical. i love how the low laying sun hits the sand revealing every single footprint on the beach.
i can live with the blurry water, but i would have preferred a cleaner sky. the blurry blob that is the cloud is just too large and too centered for my taste.

Very beautiful! I normally don't like long exposures on the sky, but I think it works with this one, making it seem soft and dream-like. I also like the way it gets lighter as you go from left to right like jrm125 said. It almost makes you want to say to the sun, "Don't go down just yet!" I don't know why, but this picture has a kind of "forbidden" feel to it if that makes any sense. Thanks Mickael Barbelet keep it up!
The buildings on the right kind of take away from the feeling of this piece. However they don't completely ruin it for me so I immediately downloaded this one and put it on my desktop and it looks great! I like this one more than your last submission which has a gloomy depressing feel to it.
