That is perfect. Red Cross should have that on their website. Can be looked at several different ways. For example, the shape of the islands clearly bring to mind "earthquake," which is not surprising given the tectonic activity that spawned them in the first place.

Perhaps if the background were white, it would bring to mind the Japanese flag, but black probably looks better in contrast with the red.

Thanks for the feedback! I love that this graphic is serving its purpose as a continuous reminder of what's happening in Japan.

maximbark, I signed up to this website to tell you how awesome i think your graphic is. The powerful, stark contrast of the red and black, the inverse of the main island as it intersects with the cross. Similar sentiments to what ItsNickBarry had to say. Just a brilliant mix of analog and digital. Well done! Love to see more.

hi, maximbark.

I am Japanese. We want to express our gratitude for your feelings.

I might want to ask for one. Could you add Shikoku to this picture?Because it is a place from which damage has occurred because of the tsunami in no small way.

Oh no, I'm sorry!
I remember drawing it, it must have gotten lost in the digital translation! I will add it back in :)

Everything! I downloaded it immediately. I love the stark contrast of the red cross and the dark background. The outline of Japan is already interesting, but this really brings it out.

Any progress on giving Japan back its fourth main island?

I added Shikoku. Sorry it got left out and that it took so long to add it back.
