Red Light Blur

March 31st, 2011

Hello World! I’m new to this and it is my first upload. I do some photography for fun or as a hobby. So i was out one night and i was taking pictures of light. Then this idea strikes me to take picture of a blur lights. I took this one which came out bit yellowish but with bit of Photoshop touch at colour adjustments it became a lovely image. Hope you will enjoy it.

Canon EOS 350D, Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC, Adobe Photoshop CS5.

350D is the best camera or what?
Congrats for the photo. I just made this account so I can comment on it.
I use 350D also but I usually blame it for the results I get, wanna change it for something better.
Waiting more photos from you!

Are you serious this image got enough vote to get here ? i'm starting to believe there's some discrimination going on on your site

There must be some type of mis-voting going on here.

Lacks creativity, bokeh is terrible and has rings, no subject, standard easy shot.

Because it's not possible that people like highly abstract images that have beautiful colors as their wallpaper. I mean, everyone wants a highly detailed image that you could stare at for hours and still find new things to see. That's what everyone wants. Because everyone is the same.

Personally, I love this wallpaper. I was actually hoping it wouldn't get enough votes so I could get the raw TIF instead of the processed JPG. Oh well.

And for the record, I actually rather enjoy the flaws. It makes it seem real, less like something I could create in Photoshop (which tends to be how I see a lot of bokeh).

@Doug, fair enough. Maybe I was too hard in my original assessment but I think photographers will generally not like this and non-photographers will like or dislike it according to personal preference.

@Paul, I think that's a very fair comment. While there might be technical issues with the image plenty of us simply don't know and as I said, I rather enjoy the almost stark simplicity.

Seems to be a bit out-of-focus shot.
Just kidding, the idea is nice but...

...i think it could be even better by taking more lights with many different colors.

Great colors and warm feel to this one but I agree with most that it could have been done better. Maybe by shifting the camera slightly up and to the right and not so much zoomed in. I still downloaded it and it's still a neat shot though! :P
