The Water Hole

If you were staying in Okaukuejo, Namibia you would have the same view. Except that most of the year it is so dry that animals come to the water hole to drink. Here, it's the end of the rainy season and is as lush as it gets. That day no animals could be bothered to walk all the way to this oasis, however, the sky was putting on a show of its own for us.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Adjustments in Adobe Lightroom 3.

Just wanted to come back and say that I have been using this wallpaper on both my computers ever since it came out here on Interfacelift. This is the one perfect picture that I'll never grow tired of. The colors are easy and soothing to look at (that is where lots of pictures fail imo, colors are too straining on the eyes). The ground is serene and calm with a beautiful body of water, and the sky offers amazing shapes. The romantic wall and the occasional tree and bush complete the beauty that is this landscape. Thank you!
