Jelly Fiesta

I like the clear colors. I thought the light in the monterey bay aquarium was such that you can't discern the colors of the jellyes. Did you add the pink yourself?

Why wont they let you in with a tripod? Are they afraid you'll poke the rays =D

Thanks, Ras!

The colors are very similar to real life. The magenta color on the bell is real. I did some minor adjustments to exposure and vibrance to compensate for the poor lighting. Other jellyfish are just white, grey, orange depending on lighting (you can see more here http://colindub.com/jellies/).

The Monterey Bay Aquarium doesn't let in tripods (but ironically, it lets in strollers!). So, taking these low light shots, through glass and handheld are quite challenging!

Why don't you take a stroller with a fake baby that has a piece you can mount your camera on? LOL

Yeah, I like the colours and patterns visible on these guys too. I've never seen that.

That whole no tripod rule is just lame! I love Daddy_Gemini's suggestion though. You could even take advantage of it to carry all your gear in! ;)

Thanks mjoa!
Yes, Daddy_Gemini's suggestion is brilliant.

We should get Manfrotto on it! I can see it now...
