View from Breitenstein

By EMK
July 2nd, 2011

This shot is made of 5 HDR images, each made of 7 exposures. When i was hiking up to the "Breitenstein", near "Wendelstein", in the Bavarian Alps, i had to photograph this nice panorama!

I wanted to call it "can you see your hometown", but in the single screen version you cannot see any hometowns, so i called it "View from Breitenstein".

Nikon D700, Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70mm f/2,8.

Tree and mountain are beautiful.
The clouds in background are wonderful.

Each resolution seems to have a cut.
What is the resolution with no cut?

This is amazing! Best of the 3 you have on here so far. I like the dual screen at the largest size the best. It doesn't have the bottom cut off like the triple screen, yet still has the whole right side of the panorama which is my favorite part. You can crop a few good shots from this huge piece. Anyone who doesn't like things about this would just be nitpicking. It's beautiful thanks! =)

Nice, rugged mountainscape. They look formidable indeed.

Even though green predominates the image, I felt it there was a green cast as well. I removed it with Photoshop and in my humble estimation, the image perked up considerably. Thanks for the great submission.
