Across the Bay

December 5th, 2011

I was driving back from the city with a friend over Thanksgiving weekend when we decided to stop by Treasure Island to snap a few shots. The lights from across the bay look pretty nice this time of year.

Canon EOS 7D, Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM, Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop.

Beautiful shot! Thanks for not going overboard with post-processing. I think many would have over sharpened and especially over-saturated this. But now, one may add a little more color if they want to. It's trying to take away post-processing that is sometimes impossible to do. Anyways, I love how there is so much detail yet practically zero noise. Good framing too, a tiny bit to the left or right and it wouldn't have such good balance as it does now.

The bottom-right water reflections seem to be angled diagonally a little more than the bottom-left, which I might try to straighten up a bit with a lens correction filter, but it's hardly taking away from how flawless this shot is. Thanks! =)
