Mont Blanc

December 13th, 2011

This summer I spent a few days in the french alps shooting downhill bikers. By by end of day, as we where getting ready to go down to the resort that magnificent light illuminated the Mont Blanc.

Canon EOS 5D, Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM.

When i look at this picture i got this amazing freedom feeling all around me it's really amazing shot, and that house in the middle is just wonderful, inspiration all around that house it would be great to drink a cup of coffe in the morning with that view. Thanks for sharing this.

I like the colors and composition. It could have been a tad sharper though.
According to the exif data this was shot with an EF 50mm 1.4 instead of a Sigma 20mm 1.8. Which one is correct?

This is a beautiful image. I like lots of stuff, but it's asking me to write more, so I am doing so.

Could you perhaps upload (not necessarily to this site), a few of the biking images? There is a disctinct lack of 1080p (and higher) images out there, and if the others are as brilliant as this you could really be an asset.
Maybe you have a website or something?

Subtle but very powerful, I really like it, it's so perfect it fills me with a sense that it must be too good to be true

Great view. It has a softer cool look to the foreground, while the background mountains seem sharp and warm. The phone lines can pretty easily be cloned out if one wants them. Overall, you were in the right place and especially at the right time to catch the warm sun caressing those peaks...

Maybe the whole thing could be rotated counter-clockwise a degree or two as it seems a bit crooked. This one comes in first out of your current submissions to me though, tied with the ocean shot. I love both of them. =)
