The Sleeping Giant and the Moon

March 15th, 2012

This photo was taken in Abruzzo Italy on 24 February 2012, shortly after sunset. It shows the Gran Sasso, a mountain massif whose peak is the highest of the Apennine mountains. The Gran Sasso is also known as the sleeping giant, because its profile resembles an asleep colossal creature.

Canon EOS 600D, Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, Adobe Lightroom , Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Holy crap! This picture is absolutely perfect! I usually have lots of different pictures rotating every 30 seconds as my desktop, but I think I'm going to have to switch to just this! Well done.

Very similar to 709 Darkness and 2701 Fade to Blue. The moon is a nice touch on this one though! My kind of wallpaper.

I prefer how there is more color on 2701, so that would be it.
