The Golden Fields of May

June 3rd, 2012

There are a lot of rape fields in Northern Germany each May. Some days ago I took a trip by bike through Kiel's surroundings. It was a nice sunny day and I decided to take my Camera with me. It was a good decision I think.

Canon EOS 500D, Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, Adobe Lightroom.

This is so stunningly beautiful! I love the simplicity of the motive as well as the strong contrast between the rape flowers and the blue sky. I'd call it the perfect spring/summer wallpaper!

I like the varied hues of yellow from the sun and angle of the hills. The trees in the distance break the horizon a bit, and the tracks invite the viewer to take a walk. And is that a beer can in the lower left?

Yes, I think it could be an empty can. It was on father's day and a lot of drunkene people were on the road ;)
