Taken while visiting a friend in the Northern Las Vegas desert. I saw a good picture so I decided to take it. It's not as desolate as I'd like, but I thought the lines of the mountains and sky looked really good.

Thanks for your comments, Tel Me. I feel I captured the scene pretty well with the equipment I had.
My thoughts exactly. I didn't want to edit the photo in such a way that I take away from the natural beauty. It is a shame people dump their garbage out in these areas.

The color range in this shot is exquisite. Depth of field was wonderful and not so easy in that level of light.

Obviously it's not within your control, but the whole scene (probably both in and out of shot) would be immeasurably improved if people didn't dump trash and litter in such beautiful places. First thing that caught my eye was a discarded soda bottle and further into the shot some metal contraption. What a pity people treat such awesome places with such disdain!
