Softball Cage
August 14th, 2012
I intended to go out and shoot the Perseids but it is actually very hard to take pictures of a meteor shower. But it was still very impressive to just lie there and look up to the sky. I'm pretty happy with how this picture came out.
Taken at the Black Mountain Open Space Community Park near Rancho Bernardo, California.
Adobe Photoshop CS6.
Nikon D5100, Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR.
Photo Settings: 18mm, f/3, 30 seconds, ISO 140.
Map: 32.9881, -117.1306

Hey man, its your co-worker. I was going to leave your first comment but I see a gentleman already left one before hand. I agree it has sort of a happy mysteriousness to it.
I'm not artistic enough to critique this! Maybe a tinge darker and it would look a bit more mysterious and sinister.

@ Thomatis: yes the saturation is a little overdone, I agree, but the picture itself is not blurry but you can see the start of the stars trailing as I used an inappropriate shutter speed in combination with the focal length because I forgot the crop factor on my non-full-frame dslr. otherwise thank you very much for your feedback!
@ PedroDaGr8: haha greetings! thanks for the feedback! :)

The saturation is a bit overdone and the stars have blurred a bit too. Maybe a bit of lens correction and it's a great shot.
