Wow, this is such a fantastic shot! :D The mountains look absolutely beautiful and the sky is so pretty. Must've been amazing to be there in person!

The sunset seems to be gorgeous, the colors are stunning and the place is perfect for that scene but...

...this picture can't be set as a wallpaper. There is so much noise! And what is this black band in the bottom of the pics? :(

Thanks! Yes it was really amazing. It was very cloudy and foggy on this day but a friend and me hiked up to the summit of the mountain and at the middle of the walk there was this hole in the clouds with this beautiful sunset. When it was dark we stood completely in the fog, couldn't see more than 5 meter. Perfect conditions for landscape photography :D

Nice shot! Not everyone uses a d700 or a 5dmkii.. A T2i with a $100 dollar lens did the job just fine!

A little noisey but thats what you get shooting in low light on a cmos sensor, any more noise reduction would make it look painterly.

Used to work at a village called Oberjoch about half way down this mountain. Brings back some great memories.

I love the shot--the noise doesn't bother me at all, but I am just wondering what the black strip along the bottom is? It's not hugely noticeable since the image is quite dark there anyway, but still curious.
