I love "space" pictures. I just bought a Nikon d3100, and I had a really clear, crisp night Saturday night. i tried doing a few shots using the stock lens, it actually worked with a 30 sec exposure... Not as nice as yours by any means but i love to shoot night shots, especially Lightning. What type of lens did you use?

I used a Canon EOS 550D with a Tokina 11-16mm F/2,8 lens
Photoshop was used to stitch the two exposures together, the landscape needs a much longer one to appear this light.
