This is one of the best photos on this site, IMO. It's absolutely gorgeous, and the stars look sharp with the motion compensation, despite the long exposure. Another winner, Dominic. Thanks for sharing !

This shot blows me away. I made it my wallpaper and stared into it for 20 mins straight, at sunset. A meditative experience. My breathing slowed down, my heart rate slowed down, and I became deeply relaxed.
Bravo!

This photo is STUNNING.
"It's my new wallpaper" doesn't do this justice. Excellent work, Sir!

Thanks a lot for your compliments! This device is really amazing. I can't wait for the next clear new moon night and perfectly align the box to the polar star (which was impossible this time due to a huge cell tower blocking the view). Then, it should perfectly even out the earth's rotation.
Next stop: Matterhorn (but closer this time)

This wallpaper is great. I put it with a rainmeter skin and submitted it to Lifehacker's featured desktop forum. I don't win anything, but this one will get a little more notice. It really deserves to be seen, it is stunning.

Dominic, I don,t know whether this was a "you were there at the right time" photograph, or a "that might make a nice photograph", but whatever the reason, this is truly magnificent.
Possibly the finest and most interesting picture I have ever seen. You have excelled yourself this time.
The only gripe is, I don,t like the stars, so I have removed them for my own personal use.
