Baros Maldives

Taken in the Maldives just before Christmas at Baros. It takes about six minutes to walk around the entire island. One of the most tropical destinations we've ever visited!

Aperture, Autopano Giga 3.0, Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM.

Photo Settings: 24mm, f/8, 1/125 second, ISO 100.

A lovely warm inviting image, definitely makes me want to go there and escape the winter weather to soak up some rays.

Because it's clearly a very bright sunny day, the very light coloured sand is a little bit bleached out/over exposed so perhaps the image could have benefitted from a small amount of HDR processing to bring out the variations in the sand - it wouldn't have needed all that much and wouldn't make it look unnatural. Doesn't stop me loving the picture though.
