Haystack rock in Pacific City, Oregon. One of the most interesting things about the photo to me is how calm it is. Its labor day, and right behind me a zillion people frolic in the sand!

The color and composition is simply extraordinary. I actually gasped when I saw the full screen version. This is going to the be desktop image on my 27" iMac for the forseeable future!

Wow. Thanks. I have been a fan of this site for a long time, and having just started shooting this year, was thrilled when a photo of mine was posted. It did however, receive some pretty harsh criticism, and though I later appreciated it very much, it bummed me out a bit. I want you guys to know how good I felt reading your comments.
