Taken on a pier shortly after sunrise on Lake Michigan. The water was unusually clear and made for a great labor day weekend in the sun.

Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Manfrotto tripod.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM.

Photo Settings: 17mm, f/16, 80 seconds, ISO 100.

Fantastic capture! I like all the varying colors. I would be great to see more compositions featuring the green algae on the rocks.

You cannot miss with a picture of a pier extending into the water. Very peaceful indeed.

I took the liberty of blending two identical layers of this image set to multiply. I then reduced the opacity to about 63 percent. It gave the image a little more punch and substance. If you like the more ethereal original, so be it.
