Take from a pullout off the Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
Sadly, throughout Colorado (and other parts of the U.S.), you'll see swaths of dead pine trees. This is due to a pine beetle infestation from the past several years. Hopefully, the damage is slowing!
Three exposures, tone-mapped in HDR Efex Pro. Adobe Lightroom 5, Nik HDR Efex Pro, Nik Color Efex Pro.
Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM.
Photo Settings: 23mm, f/11, ISO 100.
