Lake Geneva

October 7th, 2013

Lake Geneva at dusk, as seen from the town of Montreux in Switzerland, looking south.

The border with France passes through the lake and the middle part of the mountains seen in the background.

Great shot! You nailed this panorama, better than your Stanley Park photo in my opinion.

How many photos are stitched together? And what were the photo settings?

Thanks! this is 6 shots stitched together, but I had to cut the sides to fit it to 16:10. I actually uploaded the wider version but can't seem to find it in the download options.
The photos had 13 seconds of exposure with different f stops and ISO 100.

What software do you use to stitch photos together?

Mostly PS. In case it fails, I use Microsoft Image Composite Editor. It's Windows only, but it's one of the best I've used.

Thanks! That's just what I needed to know, since I've been looking for a good alternative to PS. Looking forward to more submissions!

aah nice reference ;)
On a related note, the Swiss time was actually running out, because I had to catch the next train to Lausanne in a couple of minutes and had to take those shots on first try.

thanks!
