This photo was taken atop Steptoe Butte in the Palouse region of Washington State. I used a telephoto lens to compress the landscape.

Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM.

Photo Settings: 300mm, f/8, 1/1250 second, ISO 500.

I really like the composition! It really pulls my mind into the photo.

I would have lowered my iso and used a slower shutter-speed, I am knew to this so Im not sure if there are more variables involved that I don't know about. Hopefully someone can comment and tell me if I'm right or not because I would like to know if I'm on the right track or not.
