This is an absolutely STUNNING photo that resonates with me, personally. I'm guessing you dropped a rock or patted the water to get the ripples, but it adds SO much character to the landscape that brings to life so many nostalgic feelings vs. so many lake photos (while gorgeous) that either have long shutter speeds that blur the water or just make the lake another part of the overall composition of the shot (next to the forest, beach, etc.). I just imagine sitting on the edge of some dock slowly kicking my feet in the water, or wading in, or I'm just about to yell "hit it!" behind a boat - you really put the viewer in a place of experiencing your photograph with such simple staging. I've visited Interfacelift for the past 8 years, and while many photos are breathtaking, this might be my favorite photo I've come across because it makes me feel at home. No joke - it makes me take a deep breath like I'm outside, back home in clean air, under a warm sun that makes every color of nature (those blues and greens you got - man!) blossom with vibrant color. Bravo, Youen - you've made a grown man gush.
