Beautiful! We were here recently and it was simply spectacular. I'm guessing this was taken when the winters were receding? I still see some snow on the mountains.

We've been there in November 2014 so yes, it was by the end of winter.
Its truly a beautiful place there, just like all New Zealand =)

This is a stunning image. Love the contrast between the shadowed areas and the light gently spilling down the valley...and the clouds and snow capped mountains just peeping through... Superb.
