That's funny, I took almost exactly the same picture from a very near point of view (from a window of a friend's flat). Very nice view in this nice city :)

Thank you all. It's always encouraging to see sympathetic reactions. This is the first picture I've submitted, and I’ll submit more thanks to your comments (when I get a better lens).

I love the photo. I have a 300D. How much photoshop work did you perform, or is it raw. Fantastic photo!

I barely photoshopped it at all - all I did was auto levels and colors (the raw picture was virtually the same). thnx

This is an awesome picture, it's my new wallpaper on my desktop! I'm planning on going to Strasburg next year so now I can look at this picture all day while I'm at work and dream about my trip!

To answer your email questions. The aperture was set to around 12 and the shutter speed was set at around 30 seconds (it was set by the Av function). I’m not exactly sure since it’s been a really long time since I took the picture.

I came to say the same thing, Samsung likes your photo! I new I had seen that photo before. I'd say that's quite a compliment to you Tim_y! And to interfacelift. The largest LCD manufacture uses your photo to showcase it's new displays. That girl is puurrty too :)

You can see the apartment I used to live in! Great picture. This is one of the most beautiful cities I lived in while I was in France and I lived in several. :)
