This was taken at Moraine Lake, Alberta. Every photograph I see taken at Moraine focuses on the wide lake view, and when I was there I really appreciated the individual peaks within the Valley of the Ten Peaks.

Ben Lomond (Bob's Peak) is a mountain in New Zealand which offers a great aerial scenic view over Queenstown, a resort town at Lake Wakatipu. A Skyline Gondola ascends Bob's Peak on Ben Lomond, making it easy to lift your 20 pound camera gear up to the 1,631m summit.

Riomaggiore (Rimazùu in the local Ligurian language) is a village situated in a small valley in the Liguria region of Italy.

It is said that Tolkien travelled through the landscape of Switzerland to the Lauterbrunnen Valley, a deep valley that many people now believe was the direct inspiration for the valley of Rivendell, a place instrumental to events both in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

The name Rivendell itself means "Deeply Cloven Valley" and the Lauterbrunnen, with its steep sides and many waterfalls (72 to be exact), certainly fits this description, with the mountains of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau lying beyond.

This photo was taken in the "Speicherstadt" District in Hamburg (Germany). On midday this place looks kind of boring but in the late evening, the lights go on and the place turns into a great photo spot.
