While shopping in Pienza along a walkway crammed with shops packed to the gills with local products - from cheese to ceramics to olive oil to meats and, of course, wine - I was able to snap this shot in a meat store. And in keeping with the Italian way of life, how could a selection of meats not include a fine assortment of local wines?
Our second desktop release for this weekend is a very important one to us here at White Light Design. It commemorates the 5th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. May we never forget those who lost their lives, those who lost loved ones, the police and firemen who lost their lives trying to save those who had survived.
I shot this abandoned barn at dawn. It is a composite of two images - one exposed for the sky and the other exposed for the foreground. If you look closely, you can see the spider webs in the tree on the left.
At the entrance to the Dolomites mountains in northeast Italy, there is a small town called Castelrotto...a great place to begin exploring these amazing sphires of granite jutting straight up from the ground. This is a view on a hike just outside of town.
