Great Ocean Road

January 31st, 2011
This is a shot of one of the Twelve Apostles which can be seen from the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. It was a steamy 38 degrees celsius/100 degrees fahrenheit.

Creature of the Night
By Dominic Kamp
February 5th, 2011
I found this scary piece of driftwood on the beach today. Doesn't it look like some alien creature with two hooves, horns and a tail?
Nikon D700, Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED, f/2.8, ISO 400, 30 second exposure.

Old pier at sunrise. The sunrise was not bad, but it could have been better. Reverse GND 0.9 filter for the sky and GND 0.3 for the water.

Taken from a ferry going across Sydney Harbour in February, 2011. Mainly just luck in getting it all to line up straight.

Reflections in Paradise
By cgrphoto33
April 20th, 2011
I recently spent a week on Maui and our resort hotel had an awesome infinity pool. I was hoping not to have to do any HDR on this trip and stick to my grad ND filters but in order to get a good reflection for this picture I could not really use the filter set. I took this shot at the serenity pool of the Wailea Marriott on Maui, Hawaii. The first night that I arrived the skies were perfectly clear but thankfully the clouds rolled in the second day to make for much more interesting pictures.
Nikon D80, Tamron 17-50 at 17mm, 1/60 second exposure, f/8, HDR (-2, 0, +2), ISO 100.
