Mount Rundle is lit by the lights of Banff, Alberta against a starry background reflected in the calm waters of the Second Vermillion Lake. Taken in May 2016 on a late night excursion out into Banff National Park.

I was pleased with the clarity of this shot despite the fact that it was taken through the window of a moving helicopter. The white line you see on the sides of the lake is the original water line. Lake Mead is currently down 91 feet.

Lake Ohau is a glacial lake in the Mackenzie Basin of New Zealand's South Island. When I arrived at the lake, the last beams of sunlight shed across the mountain range and I had only minutes to take these photos. The strong winds in this area didn't really help. I took this picture in Yellowstone National Park, at around 6am. The mist had subsided partially as the Sun came up but was reluctant to leave, lingering on the surface.

A glass building near downtown Seattle on a predictably cloudy day. The abstract beauty of it caught my eye.

On Wednesday I spent 14 hours and drove around 700 miles chasing storms through Kansas and Oklahoma. The "cap" prevented many of the storms from producing much, but we ended the night with a breathtaking sunset that lasted over an hour! What a sight! This is a photo I took near Enid, Oklahoma while we were enjoying the show.
