Blue Angels over Fort McHenry
By chickenwire
June 19th, 2012
The Blue Angels (the United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron) perform in the skies over historic Fort McHenry. The star-shaped fort is best known for its role in the September 1814 defense of Baltimore Harbor from attack by the British Navy that inspired Francis Scott Key's poem, "The Star Spangled Banner".
This photo was taken from the grounds of the fort during the "Star Spangled Sailabration", marking the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. Baltimore, Maryland. June 16, 2012.
