Zen Garden Waterfalls

September 20th, 2014

Tine de Conflens, La Sarraz, Switzerland.

The waterfalls are tiny during this time of the year and some people took time to build some Zen Garden Sculptures. A great place where you can take the time to admire the nature.

Berry Creek Falls

September 9th, 2014

Aldeyjarfoss

June 23rd, 2015

This is Aldeyjarfoss. Located 40 kilometers into the highlands from the Ring Road, Aldeyjarfoss is situated in a lava field that formed over 9,000 years ago. The river's source is Vatnajökull's glacial runoff, while its incredible basalt columns resembles that of its smaller (and more widely known) counterpart, Svartifoss. Clearly, getting here is a testament to taking the least ventured path, as it was impossible to find another soul for miles upon miles.

This is a shot at a river crossing on the Shiratani Unsuikyo trail in Yakushima, Japan. The river often floods, disallowing passage of this area. Taken in April 2014.

Eye of the Waterfall

August 19th, 2015

I captured this a while back, but never submitted it because it is best viewed in a panoramic format, not 16x10. I finally decided to submit a cropped copy. It was created with three images. When I shot it I didn't really see the eye. But when I stitched the panorama it jumped out of the screen at me!

Under Proxy Falls

July 16th, 2014

This image was the result of a workshop with "Starving Photographer" Mahesh Thapa on July 11, 2014. Mahesh really emphasized that getting in the water and capturing several exposures would give the best results. Man, was he right.
