Lady Blue
August 10th, 2012
This is Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. The colour of the water has a sweet and creamy look that reminds me of Havasu Falls in Arizona.
Enjoy!

I took this shot after sunset at Blea Tarn in the Lake District, Cumbria, UK. It's an awesome location for photography. Try to visit this place if you're in this area!

Taken on a cold winter day just west of Salt Lake City, Utah. Just west of Stansbury Island on the Great Salt Lake are evaporation ponds used to harvest salt and brine shrimp. During the winter these ponds are often full of water because the extra precipitation. The calm reflection and the salt buildup on the rocks in the foreground mixed with the clouds helps create a seamless bridge between sky and ground.

Milford Sound Sunrise
By jonpacker
September 7th, 2011
Morning light hits the peaks rising from Milford Sound, a fjord (yes, it really is a fjord not a sound!) in south west New Zealand. I got hugely lucky with the weather for this shot, as Milford Sound is the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand and one of the wettest in the world. New Zealand is a fairly long way south, which means in winter you can wake up at 7am and still have time to get out and catch the sunset! I drove down in the morning and caught this scene. Perfect weather, a lovely crisp -3 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, brilliantly calm water.

This was taken on a road trip out West. Heading through the Rockies near Leadville, Colorado I spotted this shining light ray and had to stop.

Lake Coleridge

Early morning at a farm near Lake Coleridge, Canterbury, New Zealand. As I drove by the colours were almost too perfect for me to pass up, and I'm glad I stopped after a long morning at the lake.
Canon EOS 30D, Tamron SP 17-50mm F/2.8, Adobe Photoshop CS4 to process.
