This is a shot of the Macy's Fireworks show this past July 4th. I t was taken from Weehawken, New Jersey as the show was held on the Hudson this year (way better than the East River). I got pretty lucky on this particular shot. I timed it just right and got the shot just as the three fireworks exploded. Thanks for looking!

This picture was taken using a Canon EOS 550D with a Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens and a Hoya HD circular polarizer. Slight post-processing done in Adobe Lightroom 4.
The wonderful view from the Montparnasse tower, is one of the best that can be obtained from Paris. I took the picture in very bad conditions, very windy and no tripod, and a huge windows obstructing the view. Despite not being the most sharp picture ever taken, I thought it was a good wallpaper anyway!
