My assistant and I recently braced -24°c in the United States. We drove 4516km (2806mi), hit 10 National Parks and crossed 4 States in just 8 days.
In preparation for my trip I closed my eyes, bowed my head and prayed for just one awe-inspiring photograph… and truly this is it - Yosemite National Park
When I arrived at Horseshoe Bend in Paige, Arizona in the mid-afternoon, I immediately knew that it would be worth the wait for sunset. I staked out a spot that I thought would be the most rewarding visually, and proceeded to wait. Two hours and one sunburn later, I had what I had envisioned; a golden canyon and clear sky.
Because of the low light situation, I shot in RAW with an ISO of 800, and a shutter speed of around 1/125. To capture all the detail, I set the aperture to around f.11. Later brightening and noise reduction was accomplished in Photoshop, while the tones were corrected in Lightroom.
I took this shot during my London trip in October. We attended on one of the daily bus tours to Stonehenge and i created an HDR tone-mapped image out of three exposures (+1 ,0, -1). While restoring some saturation, the picture got this sepia touch. Finally i tried to retouch the people who are walking around Stonehenge. As i am a Photoshop beginner, please be gentle with this retouch.
Downtown Seattle skyline taken from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill. Taken using a 71-second exposure, ISO 100, f/22. The "S" shaped line of light was from a helicopter that was circling the city while the shot was taken.
Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, tripod, and remote shutter.
A very nice security guard gentleman saw me taking nighttime photos on the street and told me I could go up with him to the roof as the view is great!
I first took this photo and then I took about fifteen others to make a giant panorama of the skyline, but after trying to splice them together, I realized I didn't like any configuration of them. But I liked the FIRST photo I took just as it was! haha!!
Shot tripod-mounted. Single RAW image edited in LR5.
This picture shows the famous Neuschwanstein Castle of King Ludwig II. Situated near Fussen (Bavaria, Germany) it attracts people from all over the world. You can tour not only the beautiful palace (from the inside as well as the outside) but also the incredible landscape including the Alps and the lake "Alpsee". That's why Neuschwanstein is an overall masterpiece that has to be seen in context of the surrounding nature.

About 2 hours before I took this I got a bit aggressive on a shot on the beach and soaked my shoes, socks, and pants. It was around 25 degrees Fahrenheit. My pants froze solid and I had to break them free when I walked to another spot. Taken from the beach wall just south of Fullerton.
