The Old Furka Pass
By Dominic Kamp
August 4th, 2010
The Furka Pass (elevation 2436 meters) is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps which I crossed over on my way home from Zermatt to Zurich. As I found out later, this pass has been the location for a chasing scene in James Bond - Goldfinger!
This image is a panoramic photo, stitched from 12 single frames using the program "Kolor Autopano". The sky has been replaced to make it look more dramatic and I used Nik Color Efex 3.0 to add some atmospheric warmth. Furthermore, I did some heavy repairing in Photoshop to get rid of the central roads, wires and other distracting elements. Finally, I added low opacity vignetting to focus the view to the center.

Asgard - Realm of the Gods
By Dominic Kamp
June 1st, 2011
When I saw the movie Thor, I was absolutely blown away by the Asgard interpretation and I told myself: "You gotta build that in Photoshop". So I did! It's a multi-layer creation, based on a series of Swiss Alps photos (one of them has been used for 1,000 feet above the Alps).

The Fresh Air of Saentis Mountain
By Dominic Kamp
November 26th, 2017
At 2502 metres above sea level, Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif of northeastern Switzerland. Säntis is among the most prominent summits in the Alps and the most prominent summit in Europe with an observation deck on the top. The panorama from the summit is spectacular. Six countries can be seen if the weather allows: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France, and Italy.
